The hike requires a little effort in places but is not particularly difficult. We especially enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and the scenery around the villages. An interesting excursion for seeing a different side of Chiang Rai.

We mainly wanted a day of hiking rather than visiting one tourist site after another. This trek was exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful scenery, a few villages and good explanations about Akha culture.

A great day in the countryside around Chiang Rai. We enjoyed walking between the villages and discovering a much less touristy part of the region. The route is varied and the pace remains accessible.
