We chose the group excursion to avoid having to organize all the different visits ourselves. The itinerary is quite full with several stops, but that was exactly what we were looking for. The temples are very different from one another and the visit to the Golden Triangle rounds off the day nicely. We returned to Chiang Mai quite late, as expected.
We chose the private option with a French-speaking guide and spent the day with Many. It was nice to be able to visit at our own pace and to have explanations in French, especially at the temples. Many knows the area well and was happy to answer our questions. A long day from Chiang Mai, but interesting from beginning to end.
We did this group excursion from Chiang Mai. It is quite a long day, but the itinerary is varied and allows you to see the main sights of Chiang Rai in one trip. We particularly enjoyed the White Temple and the boat ride on the Mekong. The group was a reasonable size and everything was well organized.
