Experiences and tours in Chiang Mai
Doi Inthanon National Park. You will visit Thailand's highest point at 2,565 meters above sea level, away from the crowds, and take a 30-minute walk along the beautiful Angkha Trail.
You will have the chance to visit the impressive pagodas of the King and Queen, surrounded by their flower gardens. After a trip to the Wachirathan waterfall, you will do a 2-hour trek to the Kew Mae Pan trail (Pha dok siew during the rainy season) before spend the night the the Karen hill tribe village.
Spend a dream day with elephants in the wild in a small family camp far from roadside tourist attractions, in the heart of the jungle, where you will spend a memorable day in the company of these impressive, kind and affectionate pachyderms.
The difficulty is adjustable, but will in all cases take you to the middle of the jungle, and if it is the rainy season, to the middle of the rice fields. If you wish, it is also possible to go bamboo rafting (optional).

We liked the way the different activities were spread over the two days. There is some walking, but the pace remains reasonable. Spending the night in the Karen village makes it quite different from the usual excursions from Chiang Mai.
A varied itinerary combining Doi Inthanon, hiking and a night in a Karen village. We appreciated having more time than on a standard day trip. The time spent with the elephants was also very enjoyable.
We mainly wanted to discover the area on foot and spend a night outside Chiang Mai. We were with Deffy, our French-speaking guide, who was very friendly and always available to explain local life to us. The hike is beautiful and the evening in the village is simple and friendly.
