We wanted to discover the area around Chiang Mai in a different way from the usual sightseeing tours. This day in Mae Sapok was a good choice. The walk gives you a chance to see the countryside and jungle as well as a Karen village. We were with Thong, who was very pleasant and discreet. Everything was well organized from departure to return.
We did this hike with Jo during our stay in Chiang Mai. We appreciated the simple and natural feel of the excursion. There are a few uphill sections, but nothing particularly difficult if you are used to walking. Jo was friendly and helpful, and gave us plenty of time to enjoy the different places.
We did this hike with Thong. The route is varied, through forest, small trails and a Karen village. Thong knows the area very well and gave us interesting explanations throughout the day. The pace was relaxed and suited our level. A good day away from Chiang Mai.
