1. Nong Khai & the Mekong: temples, Sala Keoku, and the Sky Walk 🌅
Wake up early to the beautiful landscapes of the Isan region. Arrival in Nong Khai, on the border with Laos, along the banks of the Mekong River.
Visit to Wat Pho Chai, followed by the discovery of Sala Keoku, an impressive park filled with monumental statues. Stop at the Thai–Lao Friendship Bridge. End of the day at Wat Pa That Suea and its Sky Walk (a suspended glass bridge).
Overnight in a small resort by the Mekong, with views over Laos. 🌅
2. Nature & Cultural Immersion in Isan with a Homestay 🌿
Early departure for a short nature walk to a beautiful mountain viewpoint. Discover the region aboard a local agricultural vehicle — a typical Isan experience.
Lunch break (meal included) by a river with a waterfall, featuring a traditional meal cooked in bamboo.
Evening in a homestay with activities and immersion in Isan culture (dinner included). 🌿
3. Wat Pa Phu Khon & Phra Bat: Isan Off the Beaten Path 🌿
Breakfast included at the homestay. Early morning visit to Wat Pa Phu Khon, a remarkable blue-roofed temple perched on a hill and still largely preserved from mass tourism.
Continue to the Phra Bat Historical Park and National Park. Photo stop by the lake in Udon Thani, then end of the excursion in the city or at the airport. 🌿
