Experiences and tours in Chiang Mai
A day away from the hustle and bustle of the city, you will discover the real life of Northern Thai people in the countryside, all guided by a French-speaking guide.
On the day's program: a visit to traditional Lanna-style houses made entirely of teak wood, a tour of various farms where local animals such as buffaloes are raised, as well as edible insects like crickets and frogs.
The highlight for most travelers is the visit to the water-filled rice fields, with the unique opportunity to try being a Thai farmer for a day by transplanting your own rice seedlings.
Reviews
We had a fantastic time, entirely in French, in the Chiang Mai countryside. Between eating crickets and planting rice, we really had a wonderful family day.
I really enjoyed the day visiting a cooperative village. Our guide, who comes from the village, introduced us to local life and invited us to his home for a fantastic Thai meal that he asked us to help prepare. Since our group was French-speaking, the guide also made the effort to speak French with humor. In short, a wonderful day full of discoveries thanks to Cool Asia Travel.
