Set off from Khao Sok National Park, home to some of the world’s oldest evergreen rainforests, limestone karsts, and the breathtaking Cheow Lan Lake (Ratchaprapha Dam reservoir). This one-day trip delivers a perfect blend of natural wonders, wildlife spotting, and cultural immersion.
Your day begins with an early hotel pickup in the Khao Sok area, followed by a short drive to the pier on Cheow Lan Lake. Board a long-tail boat and cruise past towering limestone karsts shrouded in mist. En route, keep your eyes peeled for monkeys playing in the treetops and birds gliding overhead.
After about an hour on the water, you'll arrive at a floating rafthouse restaurant. While enjoying a Thai-style buffet lunch, you’ll soak in the panoramic views of the surrounding cliffs and forests reflected in the water.
Following lunch, your English-speaking guide will lead a jungle trek on one of the lake’s limestone islets or nearby forest trails. You’ll learn about the rainforest ecosystem, spot unique plants like rafflesia, and perhaps glimpse wildlife—hornbills, macaques, and gibbons among them.
If conditions allow, you can take a quick swim in the lake. The trip also includes a visit to a floating village, where you’ll observe traditional stilt houses and learn about local lakeside living.
In late afternoon, you’ll cruise back to the pier and be driven to your hotel, bringing an end to a day of adventure and wild beauty.
