The small hamlet of Ban Pa Pong Piang lost in the mountains of the Doi Inthanon National Park in Chiang Mai province undoubtedly offers one of the most beautiful rice terraces in Thailand
There’s no running electricity at Ban Pa Pong Piang (just a limited amount through solar powered panels). So nights are spent by candlelight, adding to the overall ambiance and experience of Ban Pa Pong Piang.
You will have the chance to visit the impressive pagodas of the King and Queen, surrounded by their flower gardens. After a trip to the Wachirathan waterfall, you will do a 2-hour trek to the Kew Mae Pan trail (Pha dok siew during the rainy season)
The rice planting season, and when the rice fields are at their best, is from June to November. During winter season, there is no rice, but the weather is nice and the view is beautiful
