Sukhothai is an ancient city in northern Thailand, known for its temples and historical ruins dating back to the Kingdom of Sukhothai (1238-1438). This city is considered the cradle of Thai civilization and has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1991. The ruins of Sukhothai include several temples, palaces, and Buddha statues, which testify to the city's importance at that time. Today, Sukhothai is a popular destination for travelers seeking to discover the history and culture of Thailand.

Day 1: We will pick you up from your accommodation in Chiang Mai and start the journey south towards the city of Lampang. Once in Lampang, we will stop to visit Wat Prahthat Lampang Luang, one of the most beautiful and important temples in the city. After our stop at Wat Lampang Luang, we will continue on to Sukhothai, where we will have lunch. In Sukhothai, we will spend the rest of the afternoon exploring the old city and its impressive series of ancient temples and temple ruins within the Sukhothai Historical Park. Finally, your guide will transfer you to your hotel in Sukhothai.

Day 2: We will pick you up from your accommodation in Sukhothai and begin the journey east towards the city of Phitsanulok. Upon arrival, we will visit an important temple in Phitsanulok, Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat. After our visit to Phitsanulok, we will head north to Srisanchanalai, another historically significant site of the Kingdom of Thailand, home to several ancient temples and temple ruins dating back to the Sukhothai period. Your last stop before driving back to Chiang Mai will be the charming small town of Lamphun. Here, you will visit Lamphun’s most important temple: Phra That Haripoonchai Lamphun. We will then drive back to Chiang Mai and drop you off at your hotel.
