During this 2-day, 1-night trip, you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the province of Kanchanaburi in Thailand. On the first day, you will discover the main attractions such as the floating market and the famous Bridge on the River Kwai. This iconic bridge, made famous by the novel and film of the same name, is a historical testimony to World War II. You will immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of the floating market, where you can taste local specialties and buy unique handcrafted products. You will also take a 100% local boat for a one-hour cruise on the River Kwai.
The second day of your trip will be dedicated to visiting the magnificent Erawan waterfalls. Located in Erawan National Park, these picturesque waterfalls offer an unforgettable natural experience. You can swim in the turquoise pools formed by the cascades and relax amidst lush vegetation. The successive tiers of the waterfalls create a spectacular sight, and you will have the opportunity to explore the various hiking trails surrounding them.
This two-day program will allow you to discover the gems of Kanchanaburi province, blending history, culture, and nature. You will leave with lasting memories of breathtaking landscapes, enriching encounters, and moments of relaxation in the heart of Thai nature.
Day 1: 7:30 AM — Departure from your hotel in Bangkok. Visit to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. At the market, you will enjoy watching farmers selling fruits and various local products from their boats. If you wish, you can also take one of the rowing long-tail boats to navigate through the market (optional). 1-hour long-tail boat ride on the Kwai River. You will continue your journey to the River Kwai Bridge, the Allied Forces Cemetery, and the JEATH War Museum. Drop-off at your hotel for the night.
Day 2: After breakfast, depart for Erawan National Park, where you will discover the most beautiful waterfalls in Thailand: the Erawan Waterfalls. The waterfalls consist of 7 tiers, and you can hike up to the highest level by following a small trail through the jungle. Once at the top, you will have plenty of time to explore the natural spas where fish feed on you, see the natural rock slides, and swim. Visit the magnificent Wat Tham Suea temple, located on top of a hill overlooking the surrounding rice fields. After lunch, you will be taken back to your hotel in Bangkok.
